New postdoc at QGG - portrait
Meet Coralia Manzanilla Pech, who comes from Mexico, and is employed as postdoc for 1 year. She will be working together with Jan Lassen.
What is your area of research and what will you be doing at QGG?
I will be working on methane and feed efficiency in dairy cattle for the REFFICO project together with Jan Lassen.
Where have you worked before?
I finished my PhD in Wageningen University in the Netherlands last year and I worked in a research institution in Mexico since 2008.
Please tell us a bit about yourself, your family and where you come from. Do you have a hobby?
My hometown is Merida, a medium-size city in the Yucatan Peninsula in the southeast of Mexico between the Mexican Gulf and the Caribbean sea. I love dogs and I used to spend my time playing or walking my dog Byron (American Stafford) and my brother`s dog Molly (Great Dane) back home. Travel is another of my hobbies.
Why did you choose to come to Denmark and work at QGG?
I think it is a nice group to work with, with people with a lot of experience in dairy cattle and the project is interesting to me. Also, I think is good opportunity to have new challenges and learn new things.
