New PhD student - portrait
Meet Lu Cao, who just started on her PhD project at QGG.
Lu Cao visited QGG in the fall of 2015, and in the meantime she has completed her MSc at the China Agricultural University in Beijing.
Here she tells us a bit about herself:
What is your area of research and what will you be doing at QGG?
I will be doing some research on Genetics X Environment (G X E) as planned with Anders Christian Sørensen before.
Where have you worked before?
I finished my master degree in China Agricultural University, Beijing, China.
Please tell us a bit about yourself, your family and where you come from. Do you have a hobby?
My hometown is Chongqing, a southwestern municipality in China. I grew up in a farmer family and is the only child of my parents, both of which are laborious farmers. I like various physical exercise but not so well in them. Reading and writing are also my hobbies.
Why did you choose to come to Denmark and work at QGG?
Because I love doing research, love the field of genetics & breeding of dairy. Denmark has been making great achievements in this field and well-known around the world. So, I’m very very sure I can learn something really good at QGG.
