Genomic selection in new animal species

Genomic selection is revolutionising animal breeding; especially for the numerically big species with a joint systemized breeding program like cattle, pigs, and poultry. For other species like mink, trout, and horses we still need to investigate if and how genomic selection may improve the breeding procedures. The team also cover general genetic analyses of important traits for those species.
