New PhD student - portrait

Meet Charlotte Damsgård Robertsen, new PhD student at QGG

What is your area of research?

My research area is genomic selection in plants.

What is your PhD project about?

My PhD project is a collaboration between a plant improvement company (Sejet Planteforædling) and AU – where I will be working with genomic selection in winter barley.

Where have you worked/researched before?

I finished my Master’s degree in December 2016, and then I worked as scientific assistant at the University of Copenhagen for some months, before I moved to Aarhus and started my PhD here at Foulum.

Please tell us a bit about yourself, your family and where you come from. Do you have a hobby?

All my life I have lived in Zealand, and this is also where my family comes from, so once in a while I go back to visit them. I like nature and the outdoor life a lot.
