Professional Experience

Dairy Farm Owner

2003 - 2024

  • Managed and expanded the family farm to 260 dairy cows and 230 ha.
  • Worked intensively with dairy cattle breeding in the herd by implementing breeding techniques such as genomic selection, embryo transfer, sexed semen to improve herd genetics.
  • Successfully sold a significant number of high-genetic-value Holstein and Viking Red bulls to semen collection in the breeding programs in Viking Genetics.

Research and Development Specialist, Nordic Breeding Value Estimation

2003 - 2004, Landbrugets Rådgivningscenter

  • Research and development of the Nordic breeding value estimation (NAV), supporting profitable and sustainable genetic progress in nordic cattle populations.

Half-Time Consultant, Simherd

2018 - 2019

  • Provided consultancy services on dairy cattle genetics and breeding strategies, utilizing herd simulation tools to model future farm economy

Chairman, Danish Red Association

2021 -  2025

  • Leads initiatives to promote the Danish Red breed, set up breeding goal and maximize genetic gain.
